A municipal home energy loan can help pay for work while creating a repayment obligation. It is different from an equipment rebate. Some programs depend on property-tax status, location, approved measures and funding availability; a nearby city's offer is not transferable to your address.

Ask the municipality before including money in the budget

• Is intake currently open for my exact address?
• Is this a loan, a grant, or another type of support?
• Must approval happen before a contract or installation?
• How is repayment collected and what happens when the home is sold?
• Can this work also use HRS without breaching either program's cost limits?
