Legacy Enbridge rebate names versus current HRS

Search results and old contractor brochures may still use Home Efficiency Rebate or HER+ names. A historic program name does not prove that a new heat pump order is eligible today. For a new project, ask the contractor for the current program name, terms and application portal.

Use an auditable quote

• The current rebate program is named explicitly.
• The exact equipment combination is identified.
• The estimate separates gross cost from anticipated funding.
• The homeowner knows who submits pre-approval and when.

For the current Ontario heat pump stream, begin with Home Renovation Savings. Do not assume an older grant and the current rebate can be claimed twice against the same work.
