HRS 2026 update: what Ontario homeowners need to know before the deadline

The Home Renovation Savings Program (HRS) remains Ontario’s main heat pump rebate in 2026, worth up to $7,500 for most homes and up to $12,000 for geothermal. A few timing notes matter right now:

• Confirmed through November 2026 — but the program terms allow it to close earlier at any time.
• Contractor registration closes May 31, 2026 — you need a registered contractor to submit your application.
